Volume 1 No 3
It’s an amazing time of year! Here in the Southern Hemisphere winter is a thing of the past, spring has sprung and the evidence is all around us. New life is apparent as trees blossom, the grass turns from dry brown to luscious green and the sweet fragrance of fresh beginnings fill the air.
Just like our lives, and often our Christian walk isn’t it? Sometimes in the cold grip of the reality of life we wonder where God is in it all, and our human nature takes over and doubts set in. In this issue we look at some of these concerns. Even as we walk through the dark valleys of life we can be sure that God is with us and will never desert us, (When doubts set in and Gimme a break) and our confidence should be in Him (Miss not good enough). And no matter what our age, background, ethnicity or gender, if we live His way we reap the benefits (A 21st century teenager chooses life) confident that this way is the only way to be truly happy.
If only we would open our eyes and look more closely at His creation we would see His footprints and design all around us (Submarines with fish fins). Take a close look at even a simple blossom; ponder the bee as he works to pollinate it, causing fruit to develop. Use a bit of simple logic and see the design in it all (In Him we live and move and have our being). In Rom 1:20 we are told “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes—His eternal power and divine nature—have been understood and observed by what He made, so that people are without excuse.” (ISV).
And on this walk, if we stay focused on Him (Fixing our hope) and strive to be more like Him, (Imitate God) and don’t fall for Satan’s misrepresentation, (Lies and counterfeits) we will come to realise the incredible love He has for us (Father’s Love) as He leads out, to rest again in warm, green pastures.
The good news is that we have been given a sneak preview of how the drama ends. Satan’s plans are thwarted and we spend eternity in relationship - Face to Face- with the Loving God who made it all possible!
May God bless, comfort and strengthen you as you continue in His dance of life.
